Kingfisher Lodge was closed for a month whilst the new owners had a holiday. A tour guide, whom I met on the way down Mt Lewis, gave me a heads up about Carr Road and the presence of Buff-breasted Paradise-Kingfisher. No further encouragement needed. I parked at the start of the deaden Carr Road and walked in to the end, only 5-600 metres.
Pale-yellow Robins, Bridled and Dusky Honeyeaters, and Buff-breasted Paradise-Kingfuisher all to the background sound of Striated Pardolotes.

This is not the best image ever taken of this species but it was deep in a rainforest gully.
Magic. f4 and be there.
